Christ Church Thames View has been hosting the Night Shelter throughout the year for the first time since last year 2018. Thanks to the generosity of the parishioners we offer a warm dry bed, food, toiletries, and a shower, which was funded from the collection following the late Revd Chris Chamber’s funeral. During her time at Christ Church she hoped the Night shelter to expand what it offers to the homeless community, and thanks to local support the building work was completed and now the shower has been in use since early January 2019.

Venue: Annex 9.00am- 12.00pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

The Community Café is open to the church and wider community.

With comfortable facilities it provides communal space indoors and out, into the church garden,(weather permitting) for people to socialize.

Volunteers to help open and run the café are always welcome.

We are in the process of building a Pastoral Team and Prayer Ministry Team to extend our ministry to the local church, the housebound and those in hospital.

Home Communion is available on request.

Prayer ministry is also available on request alongside Tuesday Parish Prayer group and monthly Prayer and Anointing service at 10am.

The church provides pastoral and practical support for the residents of River House. The picture shows the presents bought for the 30 or so children who found themselves at in the temporary accommodation over Christmas 2018.

We also provide support with our Harvest contributions, and occasional drops ins  throughout the year.
